Exhibition: Seaside Stories at Maison des Nines, Marseille 2023
Combining three backgrounds, roots and personal strong connections to the sea, the exhibition “Seaside stories” presents a “regard” on the Mediterranean, through each artist’s intimate gaze. From Julia Gat’s “Mare Internum” where the sea and its poetic essence is the protagonist, the regenerating journey told by Tina Masoumi “A Tale of Two Seas” and the delicate portraits of Giulia Frigieri’s “Volcano Generation” documenting an island’s youth. Seaside stories bring together three voices from different coasts, and seek to create a poetic dialogue within the three artists’ new base; the shores of Marseille.
