About

Born in 1999 in northern Iran, Tina Masoumi is a documentary-inspired photographer currently based in Marseille, France. Her passion for visual storytelling began during high school, where she pursued a diploma in cinema studies at a specialized school in northern Iran. Due to political circumstances, she was unable to continue her education further at the time, which led her to independently explore photography as a means of artistic expression.

Tina’s work focuses on personal narratives, exploring themes of diaspora, identity, and belonging, with a special emphasis on telling the stories of individuals whose voices are often overlooked. Her approach combines elements of fine art and documentary photography to create intimate, layered stories that foster connection and empathy.

Her practice is grounded in a thoughtful and immersive approach to storytelling, continuously evolving as she develops new projects and refines her craft.
